COLUMBA E. DANIELE Pat A cheery smile and “One beef coming up” describe I’at, one of the ardent workers at Hugo’s Bar-B-Q stand. Pat seems to be the quiet type who knows all and says little. This hlack-haired miss doesn't like school too much but she manages to get along. Blue and White, Business 2; Commercial Club 2; Dramatic Club 3. RUSSELL E. DAVIS Davis This wavy-haired fellow can usually be identified by the bright sport shirts which he wears. Although he is at home in any group of hoys, when it comes to girls, he seems quite bashful. Maybe we just don’t know him well enough. One of his favorite sports is hunting, and in November that took priority over school work. Football, J. V. 1. WARREN S. DECH, JR. Dechit Dechic, one of our powerful football ends, showed his athletic ability on the football and basketball teams. If you want to find Dcchic, just watch for him driving past in his black Chevy. That end cheerleader is quite a girl, isn’t she, Dechie? Besides sports. Dechic’s also a good dancer and a good mixer. Football, 1, Varsity 2, 3; Science Club 3; Basketball, J. V. 1, Varsity 2, 3. ANNA M. DEILY Anna Psst! There’s Anna trying to get someone’s attention again. This little lassie comes to us from New Village. Although she is an out-of-town student, she is an active member of the Blue and White business staff. In her spare time her hobby is keeping a scrapbook of popular songs and poetry. Blue and White, Business 2, 3; Commercial Club 2, 3; Glee Club 1, 2. THOMAS D. DERR Tommy Don’t be deceived by Tommy’s quiet appearance, for he and Joe can really make noise when they get started. His most difficult subject is Knglish. Hunt- ing takes up much of his spare time. We often wonder what makes his jalopy run. In the future Tommy plans to join the Navy. 9 Science Club 3.

JOHN J. BENSING Bensing John may be easily recognized when he is playing in the hand, for he handles the big tuba. More or less the quiet type, John has his rare moments, too. He is quite a sport fan, and keeps up to date on many major football and baseball games. Band 1, 2, 3; Football J. V. 1. 2; Science Club 3. RICHARD J. BESSENHOFFER Bessy A member of this year’s football team. Bessy proved himself an asset with his line play. An ardent follower of sports, he can be seen discussing latest scores with his pals in lunch room 25. Although he is active in sports, he is an excellent student. That he has outstanding art ability is evident by his work as Comet Art Editor. Baseball 1, Captain 2; Comet Art Editor 3; Football 1. 2, 3; Magazine Cam- paign, Publicity Manager 3; Student Council 3. ANDREW M. BETZ Andy Andy is about the shortest fellow in the senior class. At first glance, he might seem like a quiet little chap, but you should be in one of his classes. Next to hunting, one of his favorite hobbies seems to be to give the teachers a hard time. He would like to he a'mechanic after graduation. Science Club 3. ANNA I. CIARROCCHI Annie Although Annie loves to chatter and giggle, she has her studious moments. She is an avid baseball fan and attends many games, especially those at Valley View. Second best, Annie loves going to the movies and dancing. She intends to be a beautician after graduation. Baseball 1, 2; Commercial Club 1, 2. SHIRLEY A. CUSTER Iggy Shirley is always ready to help a fellow student in distress. She willingly accepts all responsibilities given her; for example, she served as magazine cam- paign manager for her homeroom. The fact that she is never idle helps explain why she is such a good German student. She says her future is quite indefinite. Dramatic Club 3; Photography Club 3. $

DEUTSCH Frank Although Frank is quiet in school, his friends tell us he is just the opposite outside. His spare time is spent hunting or at Macada. Frank informs us that two of his main dislikes arc school and girls, but sometimes we wonder. Football J. V'. 1; Science Club 3. ETHEL M. DIEHL Ethel Ethel’s interest last summer was centered in the Nazareth baseball team and now her main hobby is writing letters to Michigan. She isn’t very inter- ested in school except for the laughs in study hall. After graduation, Ethel wants to be a housewife with a broom and a cook pot. Hockey 1; Glee Club 3. BARBARA M. L. DOLL Barbie Halloo, halloo, halloo!” shouts Mitzi in the senior play, A Date fVith Judy. One of Barbie’s hobbies is dramatics and her greatest pleasure is to be behind the footlights. Athletic Council, President 3; Dramatic Club I, 2, 3; Senior Play, Minor 3; Glee Club 1, 3, President 2. MARY M. DONELLO Mary “Silence is golden,” seems to be Mary’s motto, for she has proved herself to be as quiet in class as out. We hear that Mary is pretty masterful in home- making activities. Dependability should take her far in the business world. Baseball 1; Blue and White Typist 2; Commercial Club 1; Dramatic Club 2, 3; Glee Club 1, 2; Photography Club 2. 10
