Hands intent on winning stretch for a basketball. The basketball and volleyball teams aiforded an opportunity to get involved more deeply than on an intramural level and to appreciate the abilities and spirit SPCRTS of man. Through perseverance, one achieved the feeling of accomplishment and proficiency. Something of real value was brought out in healthy competition as girls participated in games with rival schools. All teams matured with the knowledge of games well played.

Laurence, B. Brick. We're NUMBER ONE! 63 f 'fl sw .Ji JA. GAA experienced the fun and spirit of youth through the promotion of physical well-being, integrity, and sportsmanship. Girls participated on the school's basketball and volleyball teams, in intramural games, a toboggan party, the student-faculty volleyball game, an outing to Cub's Park, and the annual GAA picnic. From these recreational SPORTS activities came an awareness of their importance for the total person. Pep Club was an attempt to perpetuate the spirit of Nazareth. It satisiied the human need of communicating pride. Pep Club supported the team and testified to the health atmosphere of sports. Most of all, it brought about school spirit and unity. With vocal and visual exuberance, the cheerleaders lifted team spirit and led them on to victory. They encouraged the team and, through precision, became a team themselves.
