Exciting things happened and the most exciting was a new course, 3-D design and sculpture. In the midst of the fantastic jungle called '4Sr. Richard's Studio , twenty fortunate students created wire sculptures, cocks, mobiles, and life-size paper dolls of themselves. ART The gray king of the jungle, McCluhan, stalked the artists and pounced upon their creations. Sr. Richard's studio was not the only place where the action was. Sr. George Ellen's classes created free-form cardboard scultures. They then decorated these sculptures with eye- popping colored tape. Once again, her classes made beautiful Christmas cards. Sr. Mary Southard's classes also designed Christmas cards. In addition to this, they experimented with colors, squares, circles, and lines. They made prints, collages, and other creative things. These art classes called forth the student and challenged her. as Karen Runge adjusts her gaily colored planar forms
