Iunior Ring Day. and the Senior Play. other events will be remembered, little irregularities. asso- ciated with the academic year 1958-59. Those attending the operetta this fall would gaze at our auditorium en- trance wondering what the big hole was. Of course. the students knew that it was an excavation to remedy the heating apparatus. Three days of rest and relaxation were the result of this years big snow - an event not hard to cope with, but alas! somewhat extraordinary. The end of February brought not only a thaw. but a bus strike. The girls really became familiar with the term 'iwalkingn and began to take it in stride, For the first time in many moons the faculty won the Student-Faculty Volleyball Game. undoubtedly inspired by the unorthodox cheering and their mascot, the Olde Gray Mare. The school accepted all these unusual hap- penings with the French attitude: Cest la vie. Wheii you come to the end of .1 perfect day! ' Which way did it gol The time before the strike. to our C ass Our second Kith 'n' Kin. Sentimental Iourneyu was produced more professionally than our first: the Swiss Village and The Can-Can - how professional can you get? Iunior year was a year of change. We sported new uniforms which set us apart from the rest of the school. The big question was -- pearl, black. red. blue. or gold? We crashed upperclass society at the Student- Council-Announcer Dance 'iKofuku and the Sho-Ball . Both juniors and seniors had an Uoptimus tempusn at the Roman Banquet. Driving class brings to mind signs and Rules of The Road tests. Finally. March 18th brought the long-awaited Ring Day with fashions lovely to look at. notably. La Chemise . Our retreat Iunior year was a marvelous experience. Father Kusman presented his stirring challenge to activate our spiritual life. For about a week after Miss Culkin's Course. there was a noticeable lack of Eliza Doolittles in our halls which suddenly a- bounded with elegant. posture conscious i'Fair Ladies . Then we became Seniors. Who can de- scribe it? To climb a ladder and suddenly realize you are at the top! We charlestoned at i'Razz-Ma-Tazz and waltzed dreamily at the i'Sno-Ball . Visions of Indians, Molin- ries, and handsome Ieem Kenyon danced through our heads. Most of our time. however, was occupied with term papers and Macbeth. or lighting the revolution with our forefathers. Graduation will culminate these four happy years.
