The Delta Delta chapter of this national fraternity for Junior Colleges was estahlished in National Park in 1939 to pro- mote higher attainments in scholarship. But Phi Theta Kappa stresses more than just scholarship. Leadership is the keynote, leadership in extra-curricula activities as well as academic ones. Eligibility is hased on grades. To lwelong to Phi Theta Kappa a student must helong to the upper ten per cent of the class and have not less than a B average which must he maintained in order to remain a member. Election to this fraternity is one of the most coveted honors in the school. For this reason it has done more than any other single force to raise the scholastic standing of National Pa rk. It has fostered these two, scholarship and leadership, in the students and has stood as the goal of their attainments. vi. -SI -:5: 72 L+
