Recognition Mary Louise Neumann Ruth Powers In our present world of inter-communication, transportation, and universal complexity, our scope must become world-wide. Through books we can travel and become acquainted with people inhabit- ing even the remotest regions of our earth. At N.C.E. two women stand ready to unlock the numerous treasures of our library and without them, many of us would never discover the first precious iewel. Both Miss Numann and Miss Powers are dedicated persons who are always ready to serve. Miss Neumann's concern for humanity is evidenced by the special attention she gives to our foreign stu- dents, and Miss Powers' warm smile reflects her willingness to stimulate our interest in the innumer- able facets of life that wait to be discovered on our library shelves. We give our thanks and love to both of these women for the many years they have given N.C.E., leading us to the wonderful treasures of literature. -13-
