Dear Students: It is a pleasure for me to give a special salute at this time to our grad- uating seniors. The years have gone rapidly since you entered as freshmen, and many things have happened to each one of you as individuals as well as to the world in which we all live. Even though our world is filled with constant fears and obstacles, we hope that in our profession we are help- ing to build a better world--one where each individual knows the meaning of self respect and where he has the opportunity to fully develop his po- tentialities. l hope, too that each one of you has had the opportunity to de- velop as a person through your years at the College by gaining greater in- sights into your own personality. The growth and learning processes in hu- man beings are continuous and do not stop when one finishes formal edu- cation. l hope that your experiences in college have strengthened your values and have given you greater insights into the problems of children as they fit in to an ever-changing society. Your education has become a part of you, and what you do from now on will reflect that education and your Alma Mater. We hope, too, that you are all better individuals because of N.C.E. I am sure that N.C.E. is better because of you. You are entering a profession that involves individual lives and personalities. Whatwe do with our responsibility may have its effect for generations to come. Let us remember that our profession is one of dedi- cation. We must be proud to be members of it.
