Mr. Jarchow is the retired Executive Vice-President of International Harvester Company, past President of Controllers Insti- tute of America, and former Presi- dent and member of the Board of Education of New Trier Township High School. We are fortunate in- deed to have a man of Mr. Jar- chow's background and experience associated with our College. . Jn ,flflemrfrzam On March 26 1959 National lost one of its staunchest friends with the passing of former faculty member Marguerite Culkins Taylor From 1926 until poor health forced her retirement from full time teaching in 1947 it was a rare student who had not come under the influence of her teaching and in terpretation of the principles of art as applied to the everyday world Color texture and line assumed new meanings for her classes as she lectured introduced specific exam- ples and encouraged her students to try for themselves-the different media of art forms ln 1933 the feeling of her students for her fine qualities both personaland professional was expressed in a dedication of the year book.
