Annual Musical Events SPRING EXCHANGE CONCERT Miss K. Thomas directs the combined choruses. THE NATICK CHORAL SOCIETY The third annual exchange concert took the Concert Choir, Chamber Singers, and Trombone Quartet to Northampton, Mass., and brought the Northampton chorus to Natick for two gala spring concert week¬ ends featuring the choruses performing separately and combined, and, at this end, our own Concert Band, directed by Mr. Hahn. It was two weekends full of meeting, playing, rehearsing and performing with new people in new places; it was sunburns and volleyball, cookouts and “involuntary” swims; it was the presentation of the creative product of a yearns working together. TROMBONE QUARTET NATICK CHORAL SOCIETY In February the Music Department sponsored a performance of the newly-named Natick Choral Society, a mixed chorus made up of NHS students and alumni, faculty, and residents of the Natick area. The chorus, orchestra and soloists joined forces to present Schubert’s MASS IN G, directed by Miss Karen Thomas of the NHS faculty. The hard work and enthusiasm of all involved made for an exciting and enjoyable Sunday afternoon performance. 145
