Fhst Mate. Miss Parks Happy Cruising Ahead, members of the class of Summer '51 As your ship leaves the quiet harbor of your high school days and before it reaches the more turbulent waters of adult life, you turn for a moment to glance back, half nostalgically, at their receding shores and to recall vividly the happy memories of the years spent there. Then, as you voyage on, our hope is that you will steer your course so surely and so wisely that you will reach at last the fulfillment of all your high aims and purposes. Elizabeth F. Parks fhst Male,Mr.Fults Graduation time! This is the week you have been looking forward to for many years. l hope it will prove to be a memorable one tor each of you. ln September Narbonne will have to try to get along without ou will be living a new life. l sincerely hope the time you have spent with us will prove profitable. The best of luck! YOUI Y George A. Fults lb Skippen Mr.Barnett Ship Ahoy, Mates! Wh:.t cn appropriate term to use in hailing my friends of Narbonne. Never has a principal of o school received a finer, warmer reception during his first year in a high school than the one you have given me. I am very thankful to you and I know we will continue to work together for the good of ourselves, cur school and our country. We will have to go a long way before we can find a better school than ours. When we analyze the reasons for this we come up with several items, such as a fine faculty, a fine school plant, ce fine proqrcm, but the rnost important of all is that we have a fine group of pupils who come from excellent homes. ln your school you have opportunities you will never be lucky enough to have again, Be sure to take advantage of them. Join a club, go out for sports, make friends, learn to get along with people and study hard. To our seniors I extend my congratulations and want them to know that l think they are the best class I have ever known. I know they are going to go places and become exceedingly successful as they progress an the ladder of life. Earl B. Barnett
