Jgefa The Beta club was started three years ago, and we hope it will continue. The National Beta Club is a leadership service organization for high school students. Its purpose is to stimulate effort, reward achievement and to encourage and assist its members to continue their education after high school. The qualifications for an individual to become a member are based on: Cal good mentality and character, Cbj creditable achievement, and Ccl commendable attitude. Prospective mem- bers must be approved of by the principal. The grade average is determined by the principal also. The student must average 85 or above to become a member. Our Beta Club has planned to furnish a room with first-aid supplies, we are also planning to appoint a committee to inspect the high school rooms. When you join the Beta Club the membership fee is 53.00. Some of the membership credentials are: C15 certificate of membership, C25 membership card, C31 an official emblem, C45 individual subscription to monthly copies of the Beta Club Journal while in high school, C55 program material for meetings, C69 miscellaneous supplies Cstickers, etc.J, C71 the right to attend regional and State conventions, C85 a gold seal of honor for high school diploma, C93 college guidance information, if requested, C101 the opportunity of college assistance through the Beta education fund. The colors of the Beta Club are Old Gold and Black. These colors are carried out through all of the material.
