It was rn September 1943 that the class of 1955 first appeared in the records of the Hale Ray School ro all of you youngsters of six years of age the future seemed to carry an etemrty of school Twelve years IS a long time to a boy or girl six years old Time however has a habit of flying by and June 23 1955 will bring to a close the first chapter of the Class of 1955 Graduation is only the end of a chapter rn the field of learning It rs true that for some of you tlus will be the end of vour formal leartung Some of you will go on to further schooling A11 of you however w1l1 continue on the informal educational Journey of life As you live from day to day you will be constantly coming in con tact with new people new places new situations etc Be alert to them Weigh each bit of mformatron ln the hght of vour previous know ledge Seek additional evidence and advice In the end accept or reject as the case may be the idea or person in the light ofyour ideals Be firm in your beliefs but do not close your mind to new ideas Con- tinue to evaluate yourself and what you stand for at all times Seek your happiness and security in your knowledge and integrity This is my message to you as I say farewell to the Class of 1955 Myron G Collette Assistant Superintendent - Principal Nathan Hale Ray School My Sfareufcll Message ta the 6111.95 of I 95 5
