Unique as a campus organization, the Student Council has as its members every student. Under the leadership of eight students elected at large, a faculty spon- sor, and representatives from each home- room the council strives to act in the best interest of all in legislation, fund-raising, service and social activities. As a coordinating force it seeks to link the faculty and the students, practice dem- ocratic principles, promote school spirit and train the students to be responsible Americans. Mr. Parker addresses Student Council sponsored sophomore orientation.
