Fashion is preview of the past lou can be wearing something totally dif- Iferent from somebody else and still be in style because there are so many things in style,” said senior Shannon Garris. Big shirts, brooches, baroque, paisleys, stirrup pants and even swatches and other new watches were in. With so many things to choose from, it wasn’t that hard to be in style. It seemed as though being original was more in style than ever before. Creative outfits could be seen every day in class and in the courtyard. Some were a little outrageous; others were not so bold. Kristi Porterfield, a senior, said, “The styles of today are basically a combination of styles from previous years, and there’s no set dress code of style. You just do what you feel.” Drop waist dresses and mini-skirts were just two examples of styles brought back from the past. Sophomore Kellie Mor-phew felt that a student didn’t have to spend much money on clothes; he or she could dress neatly and be himself. SHERRI SHARP models an oulfil in the latest style.
