Basketball season started at the close of football season a few weeks before the Christmas break. Both the girls and boys basketball teams went for several weeks undefeated. One great change appeared this year after the Christmas break. Students had been accustomed to taking semester tests before the break, but this year students returned after Christmas with semester tests staring them in the face. This was due to the second nine weeks not ending until after Christmas, because school had started so late. Action also described the second semester, because many activities became a part of each student's routine. In the sporting world, basketball ended in February which made way for the spring sports, tennis, golf, track, and baseball, to get under way. Costume day gave these students a chance to show their creativity and school spirit. lowing spring break, there were track meets, ball games, student council elections, and a wide variety of other things which competed with classwork for the students' time. Members of the senior class found time to present their annual play on April 10 after two weeks of practice.
