Text from Pages 1 - 108 of the 1956 volume:

illlslllilii .',■ v- Till the stars shall shine no longer, Till the flowers all fade and die; We'll be Sewe to Alma Mater, To our dear old Nashville High— We will cherish every memory, We will sing her praises too; And to dear old Alma Mater, We'll be faithful and true. Page 1 Administration Building Foreword In the preparation of the 1956 Scrapper, the staff has attempted to assemble between these covers, those memories and events that you will cherish most in the years to come. For the Seniors, this is a special yearbook. To them, we bid a fond farewell, hoping that this Scrapper will help their high school days to live forever in their hearts. And now, thanking the faculty and the student body for a wonderful year, we give you your '56 Scrapper, which we hope does justice to your old Alma Mater, Nashville High. Page 2 Ktt iliruunictm Dan Crowson, our teacher and friend, has left a vacancy that can never be filled, not only with us, but with others who were closer to him than we. We must submit to the inevitable, but it makes no less the sorrow to all who shared the warmth of his friendship. His unlimited talent, tireless efforts, and warm sense of humor made him a friend to all who knew him. To his memory, we dedicate our '56 Scrapper. Paqe 3 Superintendent Mr. E. T. Moody Principal Mr. Lester Bradley Page 4 Principal's Messag The getting out a book of this type requires hours upon hours of hard work. First, the students have to be sold the annual. Second the ads must be sold. These jobs were capa bly handled by Bob Cowling and Charles Yates The task of putting the material together was a tremendous one which the editor and his as sistants have done in a professional manner Ml a To the editor, Charles Shuffield, and his as sistant, Barbara Rigsby, and the faculty spon sor, Miss Murray, congratulations for a job well done. fm CLASSES BACK ROW: Bobby Cowling, Pres.
