MISS HELEN HALLISEY
Miss Helen Hallisey has taught a great many
Nashua High School students their English gram-
mar and literature over a number of years. Miss
Hallisey, who received her Master's Degree in
English from the University of New Hampshire,
is an avid reader, particularly fond of poetry.
Her patience and understanding have been an
inspiration to all her students, while her gentle
quiet sense of humor has been a delight to all who
MR. C. WALLACE LAWRENCE
C. Wallace Lawrence, known to many as
"Wally," came to Nashua High School early in
his career, left after four years, and returned to
us in 1943. Scientifically inclined, Mr. Lawrence
has taught physics, chemistry, aeronautics, and
science survey, taking time out from his busy
teaching schedule to be faculty manager for our
athletic department. Everyone who has studied
under Mr. Lawrence will remember his delightful
sense of humor and his enthusiastic interest in
his alma mater, Colby College.
MR. RAYMOND PENDLETON
Raymond Pendleton s former students will
remember the pleasant hours spent in his class-
room - especially his practice tests - long after
they have forgotten his theorems and formulas.
Mr. Pendleton has taught geometry and algebra
at Nashua High School for many years. In addi-
tion, he coached all four sports - basketball,
baseball, football, and track - from 1923 to 1934.
Each of his students will remember the wisdom
and wit of this gentleman and will be grateful to
have been taught by him.
