LIBRARIAN CLUB The Librarian Club was organized for girls interested in helping with the numerous tasks in the library. Mrs. Gates was the advisor. Throughout the year the girls have done a fine job with the library display window. ,gn 0' They have also created effective bulletin boards in the s ' library to stimulate interest in reading. Each girl took ' Q charge of the library during a study period one day a week enabling students to use the library during that N time. A salute to these girls for a job well done. V Smoke Signal Editors NN! SHAMAN CHAPTER of the NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY At their first meeting of the year the group elected the following members as their oflicers: President, Mary Ann Zablonski: Vice-President. Doris Robinson: Secretary, Judith Clifford: and Treasurer, Carol Opgenorth. At the beginning of the year the eight members in the group made plans for and presented. to the student body an ceremony in May to induct new members. In April a Book Fair was held to help students obtain interesting yet inexpensive educational reading material. Any type of book desired was on salel This project helped to raise funds needed to take care of expenses for the induction ceremony. The society has also had charge of the TAB Book Club for grades 7, 8, and 9 during the past 6 months. SITTING: C. Wood, J. Starkey: STAND ING: Mrs. Gates lAdvisorJ, J. Szavoick SMOKE SIGNALS For the past year, Bonnie Smith and Doris Robinson have been the editors of the Smoke Signals newspaper column. Mr. Charles Pratt has been the 'advisor. During the year these two seniors have devoted much of their time to collect news about the classes as well as the activities at Narragansett Regional. Every Saturday the Gardner area people read of the happenings at NRI-IS during the p3St week. In March the apprenticeship program was started where-by members of the junior class are selected to serve apprenticeship for about 2 months. In May the new editors were announced.
