SENIOR DEDICATION When we, the Class of 1984, began our freshman year at Nar- ragansett High School, we were filled with hopes and dreams for the years ahead. The time we have spent together has passed quickly, and because of our successes we leave with many wonderful memories of goals set and realized. The achievements of our class could not have been reached without the guidance of our class ad- visor, Mr. Philip Dubilewski. “Mr. D.” has helped us through the organization of such events as the Variety Show, the Valentines Dance, the selling of chocolate bunnies and our Proms. It is rare that one finds a man so devoted to helping others. Therefore, to show our appreciation and respect for him, the Class of 1984 thanks Mr. Dubilewski for his support and confidence in us by dedicating the Senior Section of the Maritimes to him. Thanks Mr. D. Sincerely, The Class of ’84

Quinn faces sleep suit? Narragansett High School student Jill McEneaney was recently spotted dozing with her teddy bear during the homeroom period. It was reported that the slumbering Miss McEneaney managed to sleep through the entire day’s class schedule before she was finally awakened by a night custodian later that evening. When interviewed the next day, the flustered young lady revealed that a certain Social Studies teacher, a Mr. Quinn, had assigned an unusually large amount of homework the previous night, forcing the hapless young lady to remain awake the entire night to complete it. Lawyers for Miss McEneaney are allegedly fil- ing charges... LOOSE TALK H«y, ahhh. Pumpkin Head .. — Senior JIM KEARNEY, speaking to practically anyone “O-Kaaay?” — MS NORDLUND “We kissed the floor ... totally!! — ANY GIRL’S VARSITY VOLLEYBALL PLAYER “Well just blast up to Providence .. . — MR. HOULIHAN, informing his theater class of field trip plans. “This is true... — MR. TUCKER, whenever he believes in something. “Hey, you Seniors, outta the hallway ... this isn't a lounge... — MR. MCCARTHY, whenever he finds Seniors in the corridor during Study . .. Sweet takes it all off. How Sweet it... was? A Before an audience of 18,000 screaming fans, Mariner defensive back Rob Sweet was publicly shorn of his world famous locks. The golden-brown tresses made famous by Sweet’s commer- cials for Flex Shampoo, were later auctioned off to the highest bidder for an estimated $33,000. Profits from the auction went to the home for Disabled Jocks, where former coach Jim Zepp is said to have retired. Other items on the block were Dave Pezzullo’s 83 jersey and Teddy Sherman’s red and white bandana. Movie to be a cat — astrophe? Film star Frank Bates and his understudy Curt Niles were recently interviewed on the set of Bate’s new movie “Frisky Business”, in response to a rumor that Bates, in a contract dispute with producers, didn’t intend to complete the fiim. When asked if this gossip were true. Bates simply replied that “the movie is really becoming a drag! It’s tough work- ing opposite a mangy cat ... I’m afraid that il will ruin my Hollywood reputation.” Curt Niles, the promising “second” for the part, appears to be pleased about this situation. When asked if he would like to become a star, the young actor replied, “It’ll really do me good. I’ve got nothin’ against working with cats. And besides . . . the waves out here arc totally radical!” The dashing Mr. Bates was then asked if he was just “cop- ping out” of the film because he would be required to work with over 45 different felines, but the actor just replied, “sometimes ya just gotta say, “Pass the buck”.
