“LOVE ME TOMORROW” Last year during Midterms while most of us were worrying about exams, our Junior Class Council was diligently preparing for the 1983 Junior Class Prom. As the months between January and May slipped away, our excite- ment about the coming event mounted. Tickets were purchased, dresses were bought, tuxedos were fitted and arrangements were made to borrow dad’s car. When Friday the thirteenth finally arrived, those of us who were superstitious feared our dreams of the perfect evening would be ruined by some unpredictable force. For- tunately, with the exception of a lit- tle rain, our night at the Meadowbrook Inn turned out to be a perfect affair filled with smiling, dancing and much picture taking. At Midnight, Lisa Bradley became Prom Queen when she chose the white rose. She then danced with her prom date, Russell DesGranges to our prom theme “Love Me Tomorrow” by Chicago. All too soon the final strains of the last song died away as our prom came to an end. However, the night was still young. Most of us rushed home to change and then headed to the post-prom party at the Coast Guard House. Hours more of dancing, laughing and movie watching brought our par- ty to a happy conclusion in the early hours of the morning. The memories made on that May evening will live vividly in the minds of all us who were there.
