Then the big year began and we were honored with THE SENIOR I.D.’s and the privileges that went with them. With our football team winning Homecoming day, a queen was chosen from the class representatives Kris lemma, Connie Beck, and Judy Catougno. Mr. McCarthy crowned Kris during halftime, and again our float went unawarded. Sharon and Brad again took leader- ship, and the magazine drive was the beginning of the fund raisers for the an- ticipated night in June. But let us remember as we are com- pleting our college requirements, S.A.T.’s, and financial aid forms, we are also completing a short time in our lives in which we have developed the most. Let us leave with memories still warm in our hearts and with the hope of success and dreams come true for all of us, THE CLASS OF ’83. 7

MARINER LOG ’83 Beginning our Freshman year with the guidance of Ms. Norlund and Mrs. Capalbo and the leadership of Presi- dent Andy Nota, and Vice Presidents Michelle Judge and Renee Archam- bault we soon overcame our fears and anxieties of what high school was to bring. And through the dances and bake sales we marched ourselves right into our Sophomore year with Moni- que Savioe representing our class for the second year at the Homecoming and Andy Nota and Tom Cronin as President and Vice President. Though it seems only a very short time ago we were then just underclassmen with what seemed like forever till gradua- tion ahead of us. Well, our Junior year began and we elected President Sharon Younkin and Vice President Brad Cuppels to lead us. It was the year when Erin McKen- na was chosen to represent us on the Homecoming “Hayride.” And who will forget the variety show, or the other fund raisers for our Junior Prom, when Judy Catougno was crowned queen among the court of Renee Ar- chambault, Karen Wronoski, Kris lem- ma, Erin McKenna, Lisa Valentino, and Mari Denelle, the night we danced to Outrage at the Seamen’s Inn in Mystic, Connecticut. 6
