Dear Graduates: Let me offer my sincere congratulations to you on the successful completion of your high school career Hope- fully, your years at Narragansett High School have been ful- filling ones and have materially contributed to your growth in positive and rewarding ways. We are proud of you and your accomplishments and thank you for helping our new high school achieve its current level of excellence, espe- cially in its formative years. As the graduating class of 1980 you will be facing a new decade with new challenges and hopes. Go forward with confidence, seeking new knowledge, skills and ideas while at the same time respecting the opinions of others. Learn the difference between schooling and education. The Directors address the Stars Dear Graduates: Congratulations on achieving one of the most important goals in your lives! As you commence your adult years, I hope that when you reflect on your experience at Narra- gansett High School you will find that it prepared you for the many and diverse decisions you will face relating to life and careers. It is impossible now for any of us to know what the world will be like when you assume roles similar to those of your parents and teachers. It is certain, however, that you will be part of the group of adults providing the leadership as it enters the twenty-first century. The technology of that time will be quite different than today but people will be the same. I hope you continue to develop values that demonstrate respect and concern for the dignity of the individual in all your pursuits.
