lt is the essential function of the high school to afford the youth of our community with an opporhunity to build a well-rounded personality, including social, physical, and spir- itual, as well as intellectual develop- ment. The concentrated effort of both parent and teacher is required to provide the many and varied experiences necessary for normal growth. Thus the problem of provid- ing the students with an environment which is fitted to various stages of growth becomes a never ending challenge. By development of the proper environment we hope to help students to a way of life which will lead to greater happiness and well- being. James O. Weddle, Principal Nappanec Utilities Co. Administration Joy and satisfaction in the achievements of youth with whom one has worked and lived and shared is the most cherished reward of a true teacher. Time immortalizes the enduring values - amplifies and enshrines the friend- ships - sweetens the sacrifices - erases the memories of the small things-and exalts the victories of the spirit. Time will bring you again and again to these pages. May each return bring you a realization of the enrichment brought your life by friends, teachers and fel- low-students. William R. Kendall, Superintendent l'lI'l'f'tlS 'fexzlvn Service 205 East Lincoln Street -A-30- Gus, Oil, I.ulti'icution and Washing
