JUNIORS President ..... .... K ENNETH CALBECK Vice-President .... .... R UTH SPEICHER Secretary-Treasurer ................ DAVID WIDMOYER Student Council ...... CARL LEMNA, KENNETH CALBECK Sponsors ..... ....... M Rs. Roou, MR. POSTMA Another year is drawing to a close, and we, the class of '48, are coming nearer and nearer to the coveted goal-4'Graduation. We began this year with forty-two members, having lost seventeen since the beginning of our freshman year. Realizing the task before us, in the form of the Junior-Senior reception, would require a great deal of thought and capable leadership, we elected Kenneth Calbeck president and Ruth Speicher vice-president. David Widmoyer continued as our secretary-treasurer, and we chose Carl Lemna and Kenneth Calbeck to be our Student Council representatives to decide weighty matters for us. Mrs. Rood and Mr. Postma are our class sponsors. During Christmas vacation we held a class party at Geyer's Dam, which was very successful and enjoyed by all. As we complete our junior year we recall with regret our wasted moments, and remember with pride our triumphs during the past three years. May we re- solve that next year, as seniors, we shall do our best to make the most of our op- portunities, leaving behind us an outstanding record of achievement as students of N. H. S. Patricia Naylor 0
