Many juniors participated in the production of Pioneer Go Home in Novem- ber. The main project for this year was the Junior-Senior Prom. The theme, Tahitian Twilight, was depicted by an enormous, golden Tiki god. An actual waterfall and stream near the entrance were spanned by a bridge. Table decorations, such as coconuts and exotic flowers, carried out the theme. SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS. Standing: John Heckler. Seated: Dan Freytag, Karen Leaders, Tom Wesche. Freshmen ain Experience One hundred and thirty inexperienced freshmen entered the hallowed halls of Napoleon High School in the fall of 1963. Under the leadership of John Heckler, presidentg Mick Gerken, vice-president, Mary Dell Auster- miller, secretary, and Jerry Lange, treasurer, we gaind much needed experience and confidence in participating in the academic, athletic, and extracurricular activities of Napoleon High School. Sue Austermiller represented our class as Freshman Attendant for the 1963 Homecoming Parade, Game, and Dance. The first class project was the Homecoming float, Let's Play the Tigers Raggedf, which proved that we had class spirit. Freshman cheerleaders also did much to promote spirit for our freshman football and basketball teams. The cheerleaders were Sue Austermiller, Bebe Bokerman, Dianne Meyer, Barb Stevens, and Susie Walker. Emilie Pilliod received special recognition for placing sixth in the State Scholarship Test in English 9. oplwmores Select Rings The fall of 1964- found the class of '67 eager to make our class remembered. Our first duty was the election of officers. We elected John Franz, presidentg Mike Rothgery, vice-presidentg Emilie Pilliod, secretaryg and Sue Aus- termiller, treasurer. As proof of our ability, our float, 4'We're 'Dragon' Home a Victory won first place in t.he Homecoming Parade. Representing our class as Sophomore Attendant was Cheryl Knepley. Athletic activities saw many sophomores in action. Our reserve basketball team finished the season with a 13-3 record. As sopho- mores we were faced with the task of selecting class rings. A committee of sophomores chose three class ring styles from which the entire class selected one ring. The ring chosen by the class could then be obtained with or without a black onyx stone. The year came to a close June 4. As a class we were looking forward to becoming upperclassmen. 20
