He had taught in Napoleon High School for eighteen and one half years. Before being appointed Principal of Napoleon High School, Mr. Mossing served as Athletic Direc- tor and Director of the Diversified Cooperative Training Program. Scheduling classesg supervising all high school personnel, both teachers and stu- dents, promoting curriculum developmentg and administrating activities within the high school were all parts of Mr. lVlossing's duties as Principal of N.H.S.

fohn L. Johnson Appointed As First Assistant Superintendent Due to the growth of the Napoleon school system and the requirements of the modern educational system the position of Assistant Superintendent was created. Assuming this new post in January of 1967 was Mr. John L. Johnson, Principal of Napoleon High School for fifteen and one half years. Mr. Johnson's new position included the supervision of curriculum and personnel. Working with teacher groups and principals to develop new curriculum and to improve techniques and procedures were two major aspects of the Assistant Superintendent's duties. It is the purpose of Napoleon High School to provide the proper atmosphere and opportunities for learning experiences. These situations must stimulate the individual student to grow academi- cally, physically, emotionally, and morally so that he may fulfill his purpose as an 'individual and as a citizen of the world community. ' May I remind you seniors of three attributes for successful living which were stressed in the un- folding of your high school education-personal integrity, a sense of responsibility, and a willingness to work.
