fohn L. Johnson Appointed As First Assistant Superintendent Due to the growth of the Napoleon school system and the requirements of the modern educational system the position of Assistant Superintendent was created. Assuming this new post in January of 1967 was Mr. John L. Johnson, Principal of Napoleon High School for fifteen and one half years. Mr. Johnson's new position included the supervision of curriculum and personnel. Working with teacher groups and principals to develop new curriculum and to improve techniques and procedures were two major aspects of the Assistant Superintendent's duties. It is the purpose of Napoleon High School to provide the proper atmosphere and opportunities for learning experiences. These situations must stimulate the individual student to grow academi- cally, physically, emotionally, and morally so that he may fulfill his purpose as an 'individual and as a citizen of the world community. ' May I remind you seniors of three attributes for successful living which were stressed in the un- folding of your high school education-personal integrity, a sense of responsibility, and a willingness to work. I urge the underclassmen to assume an active part in maintaining the high academic and moral standards set by the past classes of Napoleon High School. sift IOHN L. JOHNSON, ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT
