ROGER KING, better known as our friendly band di- rector, received his Bachelor of Science degree from Defiance College and his Master of Arts from Miami University. He also attended Indiana University. Mr. King has worked hard with the marching, concert, and junior bands during the five years he has been here and urged them on to win many awards. The chef has also become famous for his pink bermudas at band camp and his annual spaghetti dinners in the school cafeteria. PHARON HECKLER is another of our teachers who has been here for many years and has come to know almost every student in high school through his General Science and Biology classes. He has at- tended the University of Michigan and Ohio State University in addition to Bowling Green State Uni- versity, where he received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degree. He also serves as advisor for the Hi-Y. Mr. Heckler has been marked as the teacher who sees all, knows all, and teases all. at I 'Q -1 IS i I, lf - ivil f Matti. . if Qi l :L I ki TS135Eil1fiil?i l ggi! He teaches Chemistry and Physics and also serves as the Science Club advisor. It's amazing that he still has all that curly hair, considering that when those crazy Chemistry students invade the lab and start mixing all manner of evil concoctions, it's enough to make any teacher start pulling his hair out! JOHN FRUCHEY teaches Science and Business at Napoleon High. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Bowling Green State University. In the past year Mr. .Fruchey has become interested in tropical fish. Consequently, he is in the process of gathering a fine collection.

JOHN CUFF has acquired his education from many noted Universities. They include the University of Michigan where he received his Master of Arts, Kenton University where he acquired his Bachelor of Philosophy degree, and Toledo Uni- versity where he received his Bachelor of Law degree. Recently Mr. Cuff passed his bar examination and is now practicing law during some of his out-of-school hours. He teaches Mathematics, History, and Business Law. Mr. Cuff also advises the National Honor Society. l . x..F JOSEPH DOWDELL has made quite a name for himself during his first year with us. In addition to teaching English to the Freshman and Sophomore stu- dents, he coaches the Freshman Football team and taught Spanish to two Seniors. Mr. Dowdell received his Bachelor of Science degree and his A.B. in Liberal Arts at Bowling Green State University. If this year's activities of Mr. D. are any indication as to what we can expect in the future, Napoleon High School has quite a teacher in the person of Mr. Joe Dowdell! MICHAEL DUNHAM received a Bachelor of Sci- ence degree in Education upon his graduation from Ohio State University. He teaches Vocational Agri- culture and acts as F.F.A. advisor. Due to the fact that the Agriculture room is quite far from the high school, many students do not see Mr. Dunham as often as they see the other teachers, but this only makes his quick smile and wit all the more noticeable when students do see him. I3 DONALD FREEMAN acquired his Bachelor of Science de- gree in Education at Western Michigan College and Central Michigan College. He is the high school Industrial Arts teacher and advisor to the Industrial Arts Club. Mr. Freeman's stu- dents will acknowledge the fact that he is a strict believer that 11 workman's job is never completed until his tools are returned to their proper place.

MARTIN LASSEN has attended Capital University where he acquired his Bachelor of Music Education degree and Ohio State University where he received his Master of Arts degree. He is kept quite busy as he teaches Vocal Music, Choir, and is the Triple Trio advisor. Through the rewarding efforts of Mr. Lassen, every year more students are becoming interested in music. KATHERINE LENHART, Dean of Girls, also the high school girls' Physical Education teacher, grad- uated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. She teaches Hygiene and is advisor of the Girls, Athletic Asso- ciation, the Pep Club, and also of the cheerleaders. Besides fighting her way through blue slips and make up sheets while helping out in the office, Mrs. Lenhart can be found buzzing around with the juniors, help- ing them with their plans for the Prom, and directing the annual dance concert. RICHARD LENHART, with a Bachelor of Science degree from Bowling Green State University, teaches English, Speech and Dramatics, and Journalism. Every year, Mr. Lenhart holds the proud position as director of the Junior and Senior Class plays. He also directs annual plays presented by the Dramatics Classes. Be- sides writing the School News for the local papers, he is the overseer and advisor in the production of the Buckeye and Wildcat's Roar. The Journalism Class has named this teacher as a happy-go-lucky person never to be forgotten! WILLIAM MOSSING is another one of our fine coaches. He serves as golf coach and assistant football coach and is also the Athletic Director for our school. His Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degrees were earned at Bowling Green State University. He teaches World History, is advisor to the N-Club, and all the Seniors finally get to know him in their last year when they enter his Social Problems class. His quiet sense of humor, dark good looks, and winning personality, have tagged this teacher as an all-round, nice-to-know person. I2
