MR. JOHN L. JOHNSON attended Bowling Green State University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and a Master of Arts degree in School Administration. Acting as principal of Napoleon High School, he is kept quite busy. In the snaps that follow we find him at a few of the activities that are included in a day's work, such as giving an- nouncements, checking attendance, and having a discussion with a member of the Board of Education. The students of NHS have come to look upon Mr. Johnson as a friend rather than as a principal. Personal integrity, learning, and a willingness to work are the foundations of our American heritage of democratic living. VIRGIL BLANKE, Superintendent of Napoleon Public Schools, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Miami University and a Master of Arts degree in School Ad- ministration from Ohio State University. In the snaps that follow we find Mr. Blanl-ze in his office choosing a book to read and in the Board of Education room using the calculation machine and checking figures. The school has appreciated his valuable services and deeply appreciates his timeless efforts for the students and faculty in his aim to make NHS a better school. Most of you are in high school today to better prepare your- self for your future tomorrow. This annual shows that you are happy in this preparation. May it ever be so in your life. The members of the Napoleon School Board are elected by the citizens of Napoleon. It is the duty of these men to carry on the economic welfare of our school system. Through their efforts our school was able to maintain its high standards h t roughout another school year. ORA GREEN, Mr. Blanke's sec- retary, is a familiar figure to all our students. She has been at Napoleon High School for a good many years now and we hope she stays for many more. Her friendly smile and constant cheerfulness have come to be a part of school life for many of us and if our Miss Green wasn't around, it just wouldn't seem na- tural. ORLEY STURDAVANT h as served Napoleon High School for many years as visiting teacher. His work is done with cheerfulness and efficiency. RUBY HATHAWAY, Mr. john- son's secretary, came to NHS during the first semester. The students soon realized that her aim was to aid both the faculty and student body. She has certainly reached her goal. The students appreciate her cheerfulness and hope she is here to stay for a long, long time.
