To have a two-fold dedication is indeed an honor, but to dedicate an annual to such a splendid person, and to such an historic occasion is indeed a very special honor. But first a dedication to a man who has served his com- munity in one of the finest capacities, that of being a teacher to the future citizens of his community and country. He has been a constant inspiration to both students and faculty alike. His classes in history and mathematics have long been held as a very wonderful learning experience, for personal experience and deepiinterest have proved far better than any textbook. His clear thinking, his wise judgement, and hi great independence have endeared him to many. To you, John V. Cuff, this annual is dedicated. Dedications Ohio is celebrating its one hundred and fiftieth anniver- sary both as a state and educator. And as the state has grown in this period, in methods and ideas so have its individuals. This year's annual is a growing annual and is designed and built on the growth of a student body, who will soon take their places as voters in the state of Ohio. And so, the 1953 Buckeye and staff, dedicate this annual to the past and future growth of Ohio.
