The purposes of this club are to interest students in the teaching profession, to give students interested in becoming teachers prevocational information and exper- ience, to learn how and where teachers receive their training and to study the lives and the influence of the great teachers. Officers were elected as follows: Judy DeBute, president, Judy Schenck, secretary, and Virginia Henderson, treasurer. The name chosen for the club was that of Mr. Fred Jeffers, a former graduate of Napoleon High School, who is well known in state and national educational circles. The members of the club voted to affiliate with the National Education Association and the Michigan Education Association. On January 23 at a teachers meeting Mr. Morris presented us with our charter. In January our club met with the Brooklyn chapter at a regular meeting and May 1, we entertained their members here at a luncheon meeting, To defray expenses of our FTA pins our club sold sloppy joes.
