Hey, you lower classmenl Roll out that carpet and bow low! The junior class is on its way! Every morning at 8:55 each Jolly Junior jumps off of his rickety school bus and dashes eagerly to the doors of Napoleon High School, where the ivy crawls up the walls on the out-side and teachers on the inside. After tossing their lunches into junk-laden lockers, the jolly juniors go off like a herd of turtles, to meet the rest of their pals. Up in room 301 the racket giv- en off by Ml noisy boys and girls sounds like the second out break of the Revolutionary War. Expecially when the most popular kids, Gladys Ekleberry and Gerald Brown arrive. Shouts of Hi, Gladys, Where ya been, Brown? fill the air. Finally after pounding his ruler on the desk lOh times Mr. Snow succeeds in quieting the class. This period, he says, is meant for study. Ne one takes his advice of course, except those two studious bookworms, Carol Win- gate and Don Hoyt. They're so engrossed in their studies of 'The Ravenn that they don't even hear the bell. Their marks show it too. After 3 long hours of nerve-wracking classes, noon hour finally arrives. Oh, NO!!! Hide your lunches, everyone. Those two class pests, Alice Smith and Don Greene are on the loose again. What's this? Sounds like a machine gun is near at hand. Whoops-sorry-its just those talkative characters, Barbara Leath and Paul Randolph trying to outdo each other. Hey, what are all those kids doing outside the door? Oh, they're waiting for the most likely to succeed, Dorothy Ahrens and Jerry Ulrich, to sign their autograph books. Nothing like getting famous signatures ahead of time is there? Grab your manners everyone. Jackie Fischmeister and John Sharp, those very dignified juniors, are headin this way. Drool, Kexcuse me while I pick up my eyeballs? that handsome hunk of humanity, Gerald Brown, just shuffled by. Girls, grab hold o' your man. That gorgeous Marilou Wendt is strolling down the hall. Those best dressed up to the minute fashion kids, Mary Lynne Russell and John Sharp are asking the most sincere Beth Haller and Glen Ruther their opinions on the latest styles. Don Hoyt and Jackie Scoville are improving their athletic abilities by following the Charles Atlas body-building course on How to Improve your Muscles in 10 Days.' Those most original kids, Beverly Robertson and John Lantis are busily painting zebra stripes on black cats. Clap hands for the two kids who keep every- one happy. Sue Addison and Duane Iverson the most all- round Juniors. Make room for Duane Iverson and Beth Haller. Give a cheer to that darlin' Janet Fuller who was the Junior Candidate for Carnival Queen. And last but not least, don't ever forget those very talented prize winning actors and ac- tresses that starred in the Junior play. C'mon band, strike up a peppy tune, to hail the nJolly Junior Class of 'Sh. . X. . dm'Mh 'Mare' ga Mijn? N493 N 4 .Qg.
