We've learned to survive among the herd of Freshmen, who inspired the up-and-down stairs and only one free tardy. fAnd they said we made life rough for themj. Passing periods weren't exactly seven minutes in heaven, but the big 60 second increase made life bearable. So did Gummi Bears, until they were put on the endangered species list during school hours. After school, The Cosby Show and Family Ties were watched faithfully. At the box office, Breakfast Club brought in the big bucks. Good investments for this year included florescent clothes, jams and mousse. Clothes styles ranged from preppy to pajama bottoms. Some female fashions were inspired by Madonna, whose music put her at the top of the music charts. The song We are the World raised money for Ethiopia. . . and Toma was paid ten thousand dollars to talk to us about drugs and alcohol. '85 was the first year for the S.A.D.D. organization, and the year the Cubs won the Pennant. However, some people were crushed to hear Coca-Cola changed their ninety-nine year old recipe . . . but we all felt some bit of sadness as our last year came to a close.
