They t placed 5th at the Wheaton North Invitational and 3rd in the DuPage Valley Conference meet. They also received 3rd place at the Regional. Captain Walt Sedlacek qualified for state. The team was coached by Tom Temple. The sophomores were coached by Tony Amabile and had an overall record of 7 and 4. Boys' Swimming The Boys' Swimming and Diving team was coached by Mr. Trossen Qhead coachl, Mr. Mortenson Qswimmingl, and Mr. Madsen Cdivingj. The captains were Dan Dumford and Vince Young, with co-captains Dan Breedlove and Chris Mendius. The team placed lst in the Downers Grove North, Marmion, Proviso West, and Tinley Park lnvitationals. The team took 2nd in the Fox Valley championship, the Marmion Freshman Invitational, the Downers Grove South Sectionals, and at the NCHS Invitational. They received 10th in the state. Most Valuable Player, Best All Around Swimmer, and All American for 50 yard free style was Dan Dumford. The Red and White award went to Scott Reid. ,elf wil ll cw?
