1,i'?3l?f':,3, 1 'Q 1 ., -- xixfc' 1. t L ' - Q THE SENIOR CLASS Senior Class members had to be leaders and set high standards since this was the first year of Napa Senior High. They have blazed a bright new trail gr! which others might easily follow with confidence in future years. Things got off on the right foot when in May of 1957, members of the class of 1958 formed a Napa Senior High Planning Committee. This committee, composed of both 'llth graders from the J.C. and 'l0th graders from Napa Junior High and Ridgeview, met at a big town hall meeting where students talked over certain topics with which they were concerned and a list of ideas and suggestions was drawn up for the faculty. This helped them very much in forming the kind of school that would be satisfactory to everyone. Senior Svveefheart' I As the school year progressed, the students found they 'needed transpor- Janice OfDonneH tation to out-of-town games. The seniors then formed a committee to meet with the P.T.A., discuss their problems, and come up with a solution. Although not in time for the football season, the buses took many rooters to league basketball and baseball.games. New things seemed to be the fad, for a group of Senior girls formed a new pep club and called themselves the Indianettes. They have been active ever since in rallies, games, and exchange assemblies and are expected to con- tinue as a tradition in the following years. Naturally the seniors pride themselves on their ability to beat the lower classmen in everything. And they had good reason, for at Christmas time their beautiful hall decorations won a S25 prize, and in January they showed the Juniors they could do it again by winning the Winter Show for the second consecutive year. And of course there were the usual graduation activities-the receiving of class rings, the ordering of caps and gowns, sending of invitations, presentation of the class gift, attending the Senior Prom, Baccalaureate and Graduation exercises, and the Graduation party and breakfast. Everything that goes with the celebration of the ending of their high school days.
