Dorothy Trodden Through the untiring efforts of the officers and Miss Wisherd, Dean of Girls, the activities of Girls' League were kept unified and far-reaching throughout the year. Regular council meetings are planned by the Executive Committee, made up of the officers and standing chairmen during their respective terms. Regular meetings and council meetings are held on alternate second and fourth Thursdays of the month. The Welfare Committee, one of the three standing com- mittees of the League, gave valuable assistance to the Napa Chapter of the Red Cross by supervising preparation of twenty Thanksgiving baskets, later given to deserving families. Other projects undertaken by the Welfare group included the distri- bution of clothes, and care extended to the needy. Social activities and functions, made possible by the Enter- tainment Committee, included the traditional Big and Little Sisters' Tea, Hare and Hound Chase, a picnic, the Girls' League card party, and the series of regular faculty teas. The organi- zation of an orchestra was another feature of the year. With ritual ceremonies, the fall term oiiicers will be in- stalled this spring, preparing for the history of the Napa Union High School another account of a still more successful year for the Girls' League.
