On Wednesday, November fifth, the Sophomore movie, an aeroplane drama and a Felix comedy, was presented. Thirty-three ldollars profit was realized. Evelyn Hardin and Mildred Sherman have made honor teams in G.A.A., while Ernie Thormalen, Ernie Sanders, Linzie Kramer, and Charlie Nic- colls have made their marks in boys' competition. The Sophomore Hop, given on March 29, was financially and socially a bigger success than usual. With clever jungle scenes, excelsior palm trees, and absurd monkeys decorating the walls, Norman Fowler's orchestra played to a large crowd. Sixteen dollars profit was added to the treasury. We are at present looking forward to an active Junior year. FRESHMAN CLASS FALL OFFICERS SPRING Roland Ceriani ............ President .......,. .. ..,.,.,.,... When we first entered, school was rather frightening-so big-so many people, but now we feel as much at home as any class. After the Reception given us by the A.S.B. we dis-covered it wasn't bad being freshmen after all. , The Freshmen girls met their Big Sisters at the Big and Little Sister tea. Several business meetings were held and plans were made for the an- nual motion pi-cture, given March 13. The Class of '38 has been Well repre- sented in both boys' and girls' athletics. The girls in G.A.A. have made the Juniors and Seniors fight for 4, their championships, and they hope to be victors in ff' another year or two. The boys have made a good show- .X ing in sports so far this season, winning inter-.class C basketball championship. We will endeavor to achieve the high standard set for us by the upper classmen, and at the same time, to make a new record for future classes to follow. llllll ll llx 5 Eli alllllllll L 'mm mag -1 l 011545 xii t s li! R STOLL C. PETRILLO JANE JORDAN EDGAR IMRIE JIIHIOR CLASS FALL OFFICERS SPRIHQ Robert Stoll ......,,... .......,..,............ P resident ...., ....,..,...,...............,...............,.. Our class has produced some outstanding athletes, among them Joe Casulo, Ralph Dellarnadalena, Bob Kinder, and Arnold Babe Martini. Dellamadalena was A Basketball captain this year. Each year the rivalry between the Juniors and Seniors in the Regatta increases. 'This time the Junior class is deter- mined to take the honors, and the crew is practicing hard for the event. Several Junior girls have done excellent art work for the Napanee, these being Dorothy Glos, Helen Dusenberry, and Emily George. Another girl to win laurels for her class was Iva Mae Luhman, who carried off the Rotary Club prize for an essay on the history and accomplishments of the club. The first Junior play, The Hardwick Murder Mystery , directed by Miss Margaret Norton, was Well received by the students and a net profit of fifty dollars was realized. The cast included Billie Ezettie, Edgar Imrie, Jean Malone, Wilbur Blodgett, Bill Remington, James Wetmore, Donald Ferguson, and Jane Wakefield. The two other plays planned for, at the time the Napanee went to press, had not been given. Plans for the annual Junior-Senior prom are in progress, and we hope to make it a larger affair than ever before. Com- mittees are working out a Spanish theme, decorating the walls with gay senoritas, and handsome cavaliers, and the setting promises to be unusual and romantic. The Class of '36 looks forward to assuming the responsi- bilities of its Senior year, and hopes to make it as successful and as interesting as the present Seniors have done.
