This is quite familiar to the ears of each Band student of Nanty-Glo High. We are all proud of our Band. Against higher competition it took first prize at the Halloween Parade in -Iohnstown. The members were costumed as typical miners, and non-ineinbers adding to the effect, pushed wagons of good old Nanty- Glo coal. But a much higher honor was bestowed upon them when they were invited to Washington among other top-ranking bands of the county. The trip will be made sometime in May. Orchids to Mr. Mastovich for his wonderful work in building up our Band. Through his work we now have a band to he proud of. We're sure that next year with many new additions our band will be sensational. By the way, onions to those who have nothing to offer but criticism. Thr' 1949 Efho
