MR FRANK SHANNON We the class of 1958 respectfully dedicate our Nannual to Mr Frank Shannon who for many years served as director of the Nantscoke Vocational School After graduating from Nanticoke Hugh School Mr Shannon entered Stroudsburg State Teachers merited his Masters degree in vocational and Industrial education He supplemented his education by attending Duke and Rutgers Universities During the 1930s Mr Shannon was Superintendent of the National Youth Administration at Lincoln School After teaching Junior Hugh School from 1939 to 1944 he went to Caldwell New Jersey where he served as Assistant Guidance Director ln 1947 he became Assistant Vocational Director at the Kingston School and one year later came back to Nanticoke Mr Shannon was then appointed Vocational Director of the Nantucoke School and served in this capacity until his death in August 1957 While here he instituted fueld trips to various industrial factories and helped to process and instruct hundreds of veterans from World War II and the Korean conflict In appreciation of his achievements we dedicate to his memory our Nannual NORMA BALLA lift , 9 A V rl' yt, sz, I I . 1 Q . . .
