762 ' ' Mr Edmunds was born rn Nantrcoke on November 13 1900 He attended the publrc schools but left hrgh school to seek employment Later however he realrzed the value of an educatron and returned to hrgh school at the age of 21 By workrng nrghts and attendrng classes by day he completed hrs hrgh school course and entered Bloomsburg State Teachers College At Bloomsburg Mr Edmunds excelled rn hrs studres desprte the fact that he had to work on the campus to pay tor hrs educatron He was a member of the honor socrety Kappa Delta Pr Later he recerved hrs Masters degree from New York Unrversrty Every summer he supplemented hrs educatron at varrous colleges Mr Edmunds began teachrng rn 1931 As a result of hrs subsequent studres he became Gurdance Drrector of the hrgh school and served rn thrs capacity untrl hrs death rn September 1955 Mr Edmunds earned our respect by hrs krndness and eagerness to help rn any problem we mrght have had Scores of graduates are rndebted to hrm for hrs help rn choosrng a career In apprecratron for hrs advrce and gurdance we the class of 1956 respectfully dedrcate thrs Nannual to hrs memory l r . , .
