POetry 5 Poetry § Poetry t SHE ' S LOSING IT She admits that though she used to be a dreamer her dreams have come and gone and things have still turned out the same. The worn wal Is around her life are slowly fraying; though she wants to be a woman, she can ' t bear to stop the game so she clutches her existence as a child knowing, once she learns to run, she will never walk again. someone told her she could paint - while she was dancing. She hung up her dancing shoes but found that she ' d been led astray. ANATOMY OF THE MALE MIND You worship yourself more than God Himself And believe you ' re His gift to women. But underneath your flawless wrapper Lies the perfect moron. Ma Ida Nowotny She had led the race while everyone was tiring, but as she looked behind she felt she might have taken the wrong way. Now she can ' t seem to find a smile; it ' s hard to cry. The things she used to love block up the way of her escape - she ' s losing it. Lee Worden ADVANCEMENTS IN TECHNOLOGY Wild Horses Gallop Across The Last Wide Open Space. They ' re Allowed. Teresa Burgess SPECIAL WORDS HEY1 Is there anybody out there? Sometimes you think there ' s not. Too often there isn ' t time to talk. You need someone who ' s going to be there, To hold you up, And together. You need to fay special words, But they don ' t come out until It ' s too late. They ' re dying and there ' s nothing you can do, But regret the things you never said or did. Teresa Burgess 151
