WHITE ‘P'lofe iecty Here in 1970, we hold our first class reunion, the Senior Class of 1960. We find ourselves following varied paths. As Kenny and Billy Allen couldn't attend, they sent a telegram. We were not surprised to find it was from the Allen Gambling Casino, which they own and operate. They recently were visited by a former classmate, Evelyn Howell, who was on her way to Reno to get her fourth divorce. Judy Crews (Johns) and Aria Dean Wilson (Johns) attended our class reunion dressed in their feed sack dresses and brogan shoes. It seemed the doctor bills had taken all their meager savings. David Lyons showed us a few dance steps he has learned since he has re- placed Arthur Murray as America's No. 1 dance teacher. He specializes in calling Square Dances. His assistant, Julian Willis, is more famous for his pumping technique. We turned on the TV and found that Barbara Brauda has broken CBS TV Network, winning the sweepstakes on Keep Talking. Boy. she out talked them all!! Sylvia Rowell has returned to Nahunta High to teach Shorthand replacing Mr. Wright who still doesn't understand why those Shorthand students won't return the carriage. J. M. White is now President of the Coca-Cola Bottling Company. He said he became interested while filling drink boxes at Nahunta High. Charles Dean is on the ballot for President of the United States. He promises to be the easiest going one yet. Jimmy Thomas has patented a No-Doze tablet. He says that he would never have dreamed up the idea without those daily English Naps. Harry Herrin has applied for the position of Sports Editor of the Atlanta Journal. Boy, I bet you a dollar he will make it. We have just gotten the news that James (Sugar) Ryals has made the National Debate Team. He got his experience from the debates in Senior Class Meetings. Jeanette Morgan is now a pediatrician but doesn't make much since she has to doctor her family of twelve. Sue Moody and Blanche Thompson have taken over the Old Maids Store in Waynesville, Georgia. Paunee Smith was able to make it but her hands were full of stickers from stripping cane. Lu James (Jimmie) Brown has been voted America's Best Dressed Woman by Field and Stream Magazine. Our old classmate Robert Sloan was unable to attend because he had to be in Cape Canaveral for the count down on the moon rocket. Cecil Drury is now playing with the Browntown Pirates” and has been pre- dicted to replace Whitey Ford. James Walker and Jerry Rowell are now operating a Beauty Salon in Coon Bottom. They’re still combing hair just as they were in good ole days at N. H. S. Jerry Herrin and Tommy Jacobs are now playing with the House of David. They haven't made much progress with the team, but they have fine beards. Elaine Thrift is the Gossip Columnist of the Brantley Scanalizer. Daisy Harper and Josephine Bryan have replaced Lonzo and Oscar on the Grand ole Oprey. They're still going loud and strong. Betty Purdom has taken Minnie Pearl's place on the program and is doing fine. Larry Rowell is counting rose petals to see how many it will take for a fourth of an ounce of perfume. Martha Nell Rowell has insisted on the discovery of a do it all detergent. Charles Wilson, better known as Mr. Romance of the World, still remem- bers old N. H. S. where he received his experience as a lover. Omerlee Wilson is now a dietitian at the Copacabana, where she got into a law suit for selling one of her recipes for $1, 000. She began her work in the lunch room at N. H. S. Harrell Strickland is now President of the heelless sock company. Carl Corbit is now giving Michell Angelo competition for the top artist of the world. Parnell Bennett has invented a bill you drop down the drain to stop it up. As you might guess by this, he is one of the more faulted plumbers. Cecil Harris has opened a hunting and fishing club for the poor. The en- trance fee is $2,000, and you pay $.50 a week after that. Miss Turkey of Needmore this year is Miss Betty Ann Lanier. Carolyn Morgan, now known as Mrs. Chet Atkins, attended with her husband and they played a duet. Shirley Sallette has now written a book What’s Wrong With America's Men. The main feature is boyfriend gives old girlfriend birthday present. Sandra Williams is now the wife of a prosperous stump-wooder and her three sons are known as Stump, Chip, and Knot. Alice Sue DePratter came dressed in a beautiful Dior creation. It was lavender and believe it or not, but she has her limousines specially made to match her clothes. Molly Grace Sadler came and to her amazement Miss DePratter was wearing a dress designed by her. Miss Sadler is a top designer at the House of Dior. Gloria Prescott has replaced Mrs. H. W. Herrin as head of the Home Eco- nomics Department at Nahunta High School. Freddie Warren can’t keep the girls away from him now that he has been voted the All American Boy. Compliments of PASSIEU CHEVROLET CO.
