CLASS PROPHECY This is Station WNHS with your program, WHA HAPPEN. The first big news tonight - The Citizen's Bank owned by Mr. Wain Brooker was robbed by those desperadoes, the Johns Boys, B. He was ac- companied to Brooklyn by his manager, Warner Hinton. The famous lover of the screen, Norman lips” Thompson has returned to his home town of Waynesville for a visit. His latest record, Nerves” has just reached the million mark. Upon his arrival there was a huge reception with E. B. Herrin, Mayor, as chairman of the welcoming committee. Now for a look at the wilder side of the news - Miss Juarelle Drury has been chosen by WACL to play the part of Sheena, Queen of the Jungle. She will play opposite B. F. Crews who will play the part of Jungle Boy. I'm sure you won't want to miss this wild adventure story. Miss Rose Mary Smith has her name in lights at the Electric Club. J. L. Rhoden, better known to his fans as Killer Rhoden has retired from the ring it is an- nounced by his manager, Bobby Wilson. It is reported that the last man he fought didn’t suffer from even a fracture. Misses Lee Thornton and Mae Ila Highsmith, two debutants, have gone on a cruise to Europe looking for romance and adventure. May your luck be better in Europe than you had in America, girls. Miss Estelle Lyons is now teaching third Grade English. She was teaching fifth grade but the students were too far advanced for her. Madam Mildred Carter and her famous models: Nancy Hendrix, Margie Lewis, and Marie King caused quite a bit of excitement as they were modeling the latest beach wear at a men's luncheon yesterday. It seems there is a shortage of material this year. Melvin Griffin, coach of Notre Dame, has just won his own private Billiard Championship. He says he owes it all to the games he played at Nahunta with his old pal, Wain Brooker. Gay Hiller, famous gossip columnist of the Brantley Enterprise, has been under psychiatric treatment. Dr. Lavonne P. Moody, her psychiatrist, says she has begun to believe her own gossip. Billy Wainright announces he will run for his fifth term as President of the Dog Catcher’s Club. Mr. Wainright has made an excellent dog catcher in the past. His campaign manager is Odis Lewis. Dewitt Branch was chosen King of the Bull Session at last night's Pow Wow. Sonny Moody has been promoted to chief popcorn salesman at the Royal Theatre. He got all his experience at the ball games. Misses Celinda Batten and Audrey Faye Herrin have opened an Old Folks Home for retired bachelors. First customer, Warner Hinton. Pat Herrin is residing at her resort in Miami with her wealthy husband who manufactures orange juice. Evelyn Saddler has given up her profession as a teacher for a job that pays a salary. Miss Myrtis Sloan has been promoted to chief bologna slicer at Wainright's Grocery in Hor- tense. Jo An Griffen has just broken the shorthand championship. She is said to have the shortest hand in the business. Movie Actress, Nelda Dowling, is taking a long tour. Her first stop will be Reno where she will get her fifth divorce. Latrelle Johnson is now married and lives in Woodbine with her ten children. Attention - Margaret Harrell won the title of Miss Nahunta Peach. Kenny Lee, newly elected Governor of Brantley County says he intends to build less schools. This is station WNHS signing off with this last minute news - Mr. Gordon Wright has just become the father of triplets. The music world is in an uproar. Mr. Bowman Barr, the renowned composer has put his mus- ical talent to a better use. He is now writing singing commercials for two of the leading TV shows.
