KERI BROWN is the daughter of Mr. 6 Mrs. Drayton Brown. She has been a member of the Nacogdoches High School Sweepstakes Band for 4 years, receiving several first divisions in solo 6 ensemble, serving as twirler for 3 years and Drum Ma- jor her senior year. Keri is a member of NIKE girls service club, serving as historian and being chosen outstanding member, Future Homemakers of America, serving as President and Vice- President, and she also served as the First Vice-President in the Area IX and Region III Future Homeakers of America. She is a member of Interclub Council, Student Council, Future Teachers of America, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and National Honor Society where she served as recording secretary. Keri has received a number of honors and awards including 3rd place in the Hugh O'Brian Leadership Essay Contest, outstanding in Physical Science, Homemaking, History, English, Keyboarding, Child-development, and Mathematics. She was chosen National Honor Society Homecoming Duchess, Nacogdoches High School Student Council Citizen of the month, Rotary Guest of the month and as Optimist Guest student of the month and North Texas Optimist Young Tex-Anne for March. She was chosen Young Homemakers of Texas Little Sister. Keri is planning to attend Stephen F. Austin State University to pursue a career in SARAH TRIANA is the daughter of Mrs. Polly Triana. She is a member of National Honor Society, serving on a committee for project graduation, and has been a member of Student Council. She has earned achievement awards in Science, Biology, Chemistry, Geography, English, and Foreign Language. Sarah has attended Stephen F. Austin State University in the select junior and concur- rent programs. She has maintained the all A honor roll through-out high school. She was selected Rotary Guest of the month. Sarah plans to major in psychology at Stephen F. KELLY TUCKER is the daughter Education. LAURA GARRETT is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. James Garrett. She is a member of Nacogdoches High School All-Region Band, serving as president, section leader, and was chosen Duchess, National Honor Society, serving as vice-president, NIKE girls representative, and Future Teachers of America. Laura has received awards and honors in Physical Science, Health Education, English I,II,III, and was Homecoming Queen of 1987. She was selected National Merit Commended Student. Laura was nominated for Most Likely to Succeed by her class. She was selected Optimist Student for the Month. She was North Texas Distict Optimist Young Tex-Anne winner for October. She has maintained an all A Honor Roll thru high school. Laura plans to attend Stephen F. Austin Atate University and major in Elementary Education. Austin State University. TRACIE LYN MILLER is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Miller. Tracie is a member of Chorale, serving as treasurer and selected Chorale Homecoming Duchess, a member of Nacogdoches High School Business Club, Na- tional Honor Society, and serving on a committee for Pro- ject Graduation. Tracie was selected Optimist Tex-Anne and guest for the month and Rotary Guest of the Month. She is a member of the 1985-86 Nacogdoches High School Region Choir, 1st division in solo S ensemble competition for 4 years. Tracie has won academic awards which in- clude American History, English, Health, Algebra II, and Homemaking. She was nominated Most Talented senior girl. Tracie also is a member of the Nacogdoches High School Note-ables . Tracie plans to attend Stephen F. Austin State University and major in business. NICOLE HURZELER Knot pictured-95.611 is the daughter of Dr. S Mrs. Richard Hurzeler. of the Rev. and Mrs. Doug Tucker. She is a member ol' Stu- dent Council, serving as sophomore class secretary and representative for three years, National Honor Society, NIKE girls service club, serving as secretary and vice-president of programs, a Freshman Cheerleader and three year member of Drill Team, serving as secretary and vice-major. She is a member of Future Teachers Association, serving as president. Kelly was chosen Rotary Student of the month and received the United States Achievement Award for Stu- dent Council. She plans to at- tend Stephen F. Austin State University and major in FinancefAccounting. JEFF RAMBIN is the son of Mr. 6 Mrs. Daymon Rambin. He is a member of National Honor Society, Young Republicans, Science Club, Inter-club Council and Chorale. Jeff was selected as Optimist Young Texan of the month, and Rotary Student of the month. He played in the Musical South Pacific . Jeff participated in 2 years of or- nithological research, receiving Texas Junior Academy of Science Awards. He was chosen National Merit Finalist and is a Baush and Lomb Medalist. Jeff participated in the Academic Decathalon competition. Jeff plans to attend Texas ASM Universtiy and major in Engineering. While attending Nacogdoches High School Nicole has been a member of National Honor Society. She was selected Na- tional Merit Scholar Commend- ed student. Nicole has been a member of the Nacogdoches High School Band, receiving sweepstake awards in solo and ensemble. As a senior she was enrolled concurrently at Stephen F. Austin State Univer- sity earning credit in political science and during the summer of 1986 she also attended Stephen F. Austin State Univer- sity on the Select Student Pro- gram. Nicole has received academic honors and awards in French, Chemistry, and Math competition. She plans to at- tend the University of Dallas and major in chemistry! bio-chemistry. Top 7 Graduates 1 227

KESEK The last day of school for the 1987 seniors was spent preparing for the big night - graduation. Students gathered at Dragon Stadium at 8:30 a.m. for the senior group picture. Then it was off to the coliseum for rehearsal. 228 l Graduation Rehearsal
