He possesses in great abundance all of the characteristics involved .in the selection of Who's Who. He is a real leader, having served his school as both vice-president and presi- dent of the Student Council. Since NHS is president school of this district, Danny has done a fine job presiding over the East-Texas Student Forum. He is active in sports, is a member of the National Honor Society, the President of the Junior class in 1965-66, and Mr. NHS in 1966-67. Dan- ny has a great deal of ambition, and this, coupled with his scholastic ability, will carry him far toward achieving success. I 'WP BECKY ALEXANDER A friendly smile, an unusual sense of humor, and a fineispirit of cooperation are con- stant companions of Becky. She is not acquainted with self-pity, but has that rare quality of being able to laugh at herself. ln happiness and adversity she has always main- tained a clear perspective. Becky can look the world square- ly in the eye and never be ashamed of the things she has done. As a pep squad member and a cheerleader she has exhibited both loyalty and devotion to her friends and school. As a student she has acquitted herself well. As a citizen of the community she has proved herself to be among the best. It is no surprise that Becky has ,been chosen to Whois Who. MIKE CUMMINGS During his years at NHS, Mike has become one of the best liked and most respected stu- dents in our school. Mike is known for his courteous man- ner, thoughtfulness, and consideration for others. Although he excels in many areas of the school social life, Mike has been an honor student in scholarship and served the National Honor Society as Vice President. Known through- out the city, he has represented our school well in the community. An outstanding member of his church, Mike has also been a faithful leader of the Christian Student Union on our campus and has served as an example to all who know him. ,, , . uw. l, vs. X-Z BENNY DEWITI' An outstanding athlete as well as an excellent student, Benny combines the most desirable qualities of determination, good sportsmanship, loyalty, and dependability. His gregarious nature, good humor, and genuine love of life have made him a favorite in NHS. As Tri-captain in football and Co-captain in basketball he has inspired the teams with the spirit and drive which won for him a place on the All East Texas team. Benny has made an impressive record, and the gratitude and best wishes of NHS go with him in his future endeavors. I49

gs? NANCYE PRICE Nancye has a thirst for knowledge that has made her an outstanding student. She has a genuine concern for others, a concern which is evidenced by her loyal devotion to the church of her choice. At school, too, she has been of service and has displayed a willingness to work on any project to which she has been assigned. Intelligent, talented, ambitious, kink, and friend- ly-Nancye is indeed priceless! we say, endowed with talent, consistency, character, and charm. Her four years in high school have been a succession of successes from the stand- point of scholastic achievement and honor in the high school band. Julie has served her school in many capaci- ties, and carries out her duties with grace and ability. She was singled out for a special honor this year when she was chosen DAR Good Citizen of the Year . His dependability is known among the student body and members of the faculty, and his popularity is demonstrated by his class offices. .lef also received honors in journalism, as sports editor of the school paperg in radio, as KEEE news director, and as a member of Quill and Scroll, an honorary journalism so- ciety. CATHEY LADYMON Few students in NHS have re- ceived more honors or have been more genuinely admired than has Cathey Ladymon during her high school years. Always gentle and kind in manner, conscientious and de- pendable in her work, and loyal and devoted to her school, -Cathey has won and maintained the respect and admira- tion of us all. Long after she has gone from us, the memory of her many brilliant performances as drum major of our beloved high school band will keep the name of Cathey Ladymon an unforgettable one in NHS.
