Whois KAY AXLEY . . . Despite her diminutive size, Kay Axley is big in the heart of Nacogdoches High School, for her enthusiasm and loyalty to our school have always been an inspiration to us all. As energetic and conscientious in her school work as she is in her responsibilities as cheerleader or as a member of other extra- curricular activities, Kay has proved herself an excellent student, efficient leader, cooperative worker, and an all-round student whose refined manner, friendly personality, and genuine sin- cerity have won the love and admiration of both faculty and student body. CHUCK IRICK . . . An excellent athlete as well as capable student, Chuck lrick combines the most desirable qualities of both-industry, dependability, good sportsmanship, and loyalty. His friendliness, good humor, and gentlemanly conduct have made him a great favorite in Nacogdoches High School and in- spired both our Dragon team and student body to outstanding achievements. As a captain of one of our finest football teams, Chuck has made an illustrious record, and the gratitude and best wishes of Nacogdoches High School go with him as he leaves us. 42 CRAIG STRIPLING . . . Craig, president of our student body, deserves the many honors he has received. His high scholastic achievements give proof that Craig uses his intellectual ability aggressively and effectively. The twinkle in his eyes gives a clue to his keen sense of humor which may be subtle or occa- sionally ever forthright. He has a friendliness that can win an election. He wins our confidence in his office. We offer our best wishes to one who will answer well when Duty whispers low, Thou must. JOHNNIE SUE BROCK . . . One of the most admirable stu- dents in the Class of '64 is calm, soft-spoken Johnnie Sue Brock, who goes quietly abcut her work with confidence and determination to do her best at whatever task she undertakesp 'and the result is always commendable. Her kind and sincere interest in others is amply reward-ed by the love and respect of her classmates and teachers, and her influence has made Nacog- doches High School a better school.
