To The Graduates: Coming down on the Ross Avenue bus this morning I listened in on a conversation between a sweet young thing and an older woman companion. I couldn't help hearing the conversation, asit was mostly wailsg therefore I may be excused for 'seem- ing breach of etquette. The sweet young thing was having mother trouble! Phrases like if she only didn't nag me -- she doesn't like any of my boy friends -- forgot she was oung once herself -- in bed at nine o'clock reached my without an effort on my part. For once I was sorry to 4 Efirehouse at Leonard Street loom out of the mists , ould liked to have stayed with the crowd and heard 5 rest of the story. , I I , A2 53.215 .5255-fga u '1 til? 1 'fl 7-'ri -if .. ,N , , .4 ,,, 4- I E, Q Ji fgygi V i -1 , . . my FW. .2 I' 5 What has all this to do with graduation? Well I'Ve listened in on all of you for four years or more and it has been interesting. Now I have to get off the bus while you go on. I rather hate to leave. I'd like to stay on and hear the rest of the story to see how it comes out . But that is not to be! The best I can do is stand on the curb and looklongingly after you as I did after the bus in its snort- ing departure and give you a furtive wave of the hand hoping that your story will work out to a happy and successful ending. r ' !There is achance that I'll be on the bus with the sweet Qlyoung thing some other day and that suggests that I may also Ihear some of your stories continued.l ter J.
