RELEASED IN ’79! Our Freshman year we were the largest class to come through the halls of M.P.H.S. We boasted 139 members. We were called and treated like babies, but never once did we live up to those names. We all went through Mr. O'conner and his Citizenship class. Our class president was Rob Irwin. Our Sophomore year we were still the biggest class. This year we had 122 members. We won every competition yell and was known as the BIG MOUTHS. We had four girls letter in J.V. Baseball. This was the first time that girls had ever gone out. They were Sandy Fischer, Susan Frazier, Pam Martain, and Kathy Walter. Our class officers were all girls with Kit Thurman as president. This was the year that we all had either Mr. Raily or Mr. Breitkreutz for Biology. Our Junior year our class was overrun by the Freshmen. Their class was larger but we still had 113 people in our class. Tish McGarity was crowned Homecoming queen and Karla Stevens was crowned Prom queen. Our theme for the prom was Dream Weaver. Our president Mike Capanna. We all had Mr. Johnson (T.J.) and Mr. Robnett for U.S. History. Our Senior year our class even dropped more. At the very end we had 107 graduates, including a foreign exchange student. Randy Davis was our class president. Our teacher for this year was Mr. Gibbons, who taught Personal Finance. After our competency tests were over we just kicked back and took life easy. Our theme for graduation was We May Never Pass This Way Again. And now we present the class of 1979! 7
