MY TRIBUTE to the class of 1977 by Vicki S. Miller The class of 77 , like all seniors, graudate with anticipation, fear, regret, yet we kept a unity other senior classes often lose. Our class had great times, super spirit and understanding friends to help each other through rough spots. Reflecting back on our high school days, many activities remain unforgettable memories to us. For example, in our junior year when we had to raise money for prom decorations and then construct an atmosphere of Midnight Blues at the Myrtle Crest gym. The class creatively not only produced a prom, but in our senior year we cleverly constructed Christmas hall decorations to win the contest. Another unforgettable memory was the salute to the senior varsity football players in the 1976 season, when half the team marched out on the football field as retiring high school football players. Whatever the event, the class of 1977 highlighted activities for four great years. But now our high school days have ceased and each senior has begun a new life in what used to be a far away future. What used to be dreams and illusions of the unknown years after graduation are now evident and real and as the future becomes the present, I hope life continually meets all expectations. To each senior, I wish much happiness and luck in life and as we strive for ambitions and goals, let us keep the serenity of life in mind; the effort of goodwill at work; and the treasure of friendship at heart. Vicki S. Miller (Student Body President) 19
