SENIOR CLASS HISTORY After our graduation from junior high in 1952, all looked forward to the remaining four years of high school. We started off on the right foot, or should we say gunny sack, with a fun-packed initiation. Our freshman class, because of its size, was divided into a Home Room A. and a Home Room B. Home Room A. officers were: President, Brad Ross; Vice-President, Jack Willing; Secretary-Treasurer, Peggy Meyer; Home Room Representative, Lee Hervey; and Sergeant at Arms, Mel Gilkenson. Home Room B. officers were : President, Bob Davis; Secretary, Norene Wilson; Home Room Representative, Alice Hammer; and Sergeant at Arms, Louis Toulou. Our sophomore year was a little disappointing, for they had done away with initiation; thus, the Class of '56 will go down in history as the last class to be initiated. Our junior year was full of fun and enjoyment. At last we were UPPER CLASSMEN. We chose as officers: President, Mike Russill; Vice-President, Bill Dawkins: Secretary, Peggy Meyer; and Treasurer, Karla Kalbus. We surprised everyone with a beautiful Junior Prom. The theme was Black Magic. We were mighty proud of our girls represented in the rally squad who were: Yell-Leaders: Diane Owens and Yvonne Freiberg. Pep- sters: Sandra Shmidt, Karla Kalbus, and Alice Hammer. Sandra was also voted for Football Queen and Yvonne for a princess. Finally we were ALMIGHTY SENIORS. For our remaining year we elected as our officers: President, Duane Simmons; Vice-President, Wallis Kincheloe; Secretary, Alice Hammer; Treasurer, Sharon Ocheltree; and Student Council Representative, Brad Ross. We're sure none of us will forget the trip to Powers to hear the College Relations group; especially those who didn't go. Everyone will remember the Senior Play: The Curious Savage. Although we haven't given it yet, the Senior Ball is surely going to prove the best yet. Oh! We musn't forget all the cars we girls washed to earn money for the March of Dimes Fund. As a whole we doubt that we'll over forget our high school days and we wish to thank everyone for their patience and help given us during our four years of high school.
